I hated this film. For every lovely scene between Blue, the hyper-intelligent raptor and the humans who are trying to save him from a sad death, there are way too many horrible scenes of dinosaurs suffering cruel deaths at close-up range, particularly during the volcanic destruction of Isla Nubar that kills most of the existing dinosaur colony. The casual cruelty shown to the surviving dinosaurs throughout the film is so disturbing, upsetting and anxiety-provoking that the strange, disjointed plot line and sub-par performances (even from the otherwise great Tobey Jones) barely registered. I enjoyed the previous Jurassic Park films, but this film left me emotionally exhausted and sad. Not for children, teenagers or emotionally sensitive adults who feel even CGI-created animals' pain.
