Although the “plot” wasn’t as conclusive as I hoped for (I’m still wondering where the heck Eddie is!), I found that the characters and side story (which is actually the main story) were interesting enough to keep me captivated. Strong female roles, men with parenting instincts, a little splash of racial tension. It’s exactly what the world needs without forcing too much down our throats. The real story is between the characters, and I guess it’s hard to let go of the desire for a crystal clear plot. Think of it as a “coming of age” story rather than a story about crime, then you’ll think “Woah, great movie”
