The casting is very well done, the show entertaining as a whole. My only critique, as someone who did not read the books or play the games, is that the writing can at times be cheesy. When I watched the first episode, not knowing what to expect, I at first thought the show must be meant for kids, because the dialogue gave that tone. While later episodes had more intelligent dialogue, the show still had a bit of the cheese factor. If you don’t mind that, and I did get past it, it is enjoyable to watch. The timeline is a bit confusing, but a quick google search clarified things.

Fantastic fantastic show. I am so sad Showtime did not do the 4th season, as it’s definitely one of the best showtime series ever created. The acting is fabulous, the story line fascinating, the costumes and scenery beautiful. I have watched it 3 times over the years, and will probably watch it again many more times in the future
