I loved this biopic of Billie Holiday and the way it was shot, the styling particularly - the romance between her and the agent, Jimmy was a little of a shoehorn in to romancing the storyline. I'm not sure if she was a consistent victim of domestic abuse but Andra Day was incredible - I loved the rasp in her voice and her acting. I had always loved 'The Lady Sings The Blues' but I found this biopic far grittier and with the styling a beautiful filmโฆ
