This movie was more predictable than the fact that the sun will rise tommorow. The script was completely driven by plot that pretended to be deep, at the cost of real character development. In fact, the characters were about as shallow as the water you'd find in a bird bath on a hot summer's day. This is the end product of a society too scared to tell a child the truth: that writing is hard, and just because you got a participation ribbon in 6th grade English doesn't mean you should go into literature. Unfortunately, the child was never given real feedback, and at point, continuing the author's illusion may be the most humane act. Big thanks to the producers for this most charitable act.
