All things considered, this movie is great. Storyline, adaptation, lore and representation, acting, structure and originality. It was a nearly impossible movie to make with low expectation from even the most die hard gaming fans. But in the end, it's a solid film that doesn't rest on franchise laurels to create a cinematic experience. I've never quite figured out why people demean it. It's a fantasy movie, through and through, that's hits all the notes... It never claimed to be anything else, so I find most of the complaints and critiques a bit misplaced.
