Gotham High is an interesting blend of the established Batman characters we know and love, with the imagery of films like The Breakfast Club and Heathers. Personally I would love to dive more into this universe, to see the whole array of DC stock given a John Hughes makeover. I know there are plenty others who simply mark this off as "SJW nonsense", with having Bruce be Chinese American, or some of the other - and lets be honest here - aesthetic changes; but as different as these characters may seem, they are equally as similar. On top of this, it seems to me that a story set in a modern high school in Gotham (a city generally accepted as being located somewhere in New Jersey) you are going to see an eclectic mix of people. Those that argue otherwise should really step out of their own echo chamber, and realise than no one is hurt by this non-canonical blend of media. This isn't a "self insert fan fiction", this is a nostalgia fuelled story to which I would whole heartedly recommend.
