After seeing all of the five star reviews on this book, I was expecting better. I enjoy a good twisty-turny story, but the pay off on this one wasn’t nearly worth sloughing through all of the minutiae and details in the story. Halfway through the book, the narrators’ perspective changes, and for me the story never recovered. I felt confused and irritated, for which I though I would be rewarded by the end. Nope. I have it 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 because the writing is good. I just think these two talented authors tried way too hard on this one. Sometimes simpler is better.
