This show is so wrong in many levels. It is sad to see people with so much influence promote the fast fashion model of business and production. It is not a surprise to see this fast fashion model being sponsored by Amazon, but still discouraging to watch. There was zero talk about sustainability in the fabric choices or production models in the show. Zero concern on the seamstresses identities, clearly showing how messed up the fashion industry is. I watched this hoping that at least one designer would challenge the status quo. Hoping there was someone who would truly innovate in creating garments out of dead stock fabric or natural fibers. The true problem here is the ongoing approval of fast fashion brands that incentivize over consumption of disposable cheap fashion. They showed the "glamour" side of fashion once again ignoring the messed up, cruel and dark facts about labor rights issues and the fact that the fashion industry is one of the top polluters in the planet. Again, not surprised at all coming from Amazon, but still sad to watch influencers like Heidi and Naomi participate in this model and encourage it. Sad.
