SPOILERS: I feel like I must have been watching a different series from the rest of you. I really tried to like it, but for me it felt like a melodramatic soap opera instead of a bonafide mystery procedural. I found myself fast forwarding through a lot of it without missing anything in doing so. The way Faith acted from the get go when she came upon the wig/glasses wasn't very believable to me. Why wouldn't she confide in her brother-in-law, the policeman? I had very little sympathy for her character, as she dug a ditch for herself in the way she reacted to things and chose to not trust anyone at all. The way she laughed in the oddest moments was almost farce. I saw no reason for her at all to establish any romantic connection with Steve. There wasn't enough romantic build-up for that in my opinion. It seemed force. She got off far too easy with the criminal element. What the hell was that whole episode with her and the dentist? That was beyond bizarre. The same with the scene where she was being bullied by the ruffians. Could have been cut. The 8 episodes could have been condensed a lot better. I decided at the end of the first season I won't be returning to the series, as there are just too many negatives for me. But, hey, it's great if it floats your boat! There isn't enough draw for me.
