Awesome serial.....awesome story...beautiful title song. Barrister Babu - It is a show set in Bengal during the british Era or the Pre independence era. The show revolves around two polar opposites yet they are connected by soul and heart wanting to change their motherland by sacrificing their own happiness. The two protagonists are Bondita , a tyrant and curious girl who is more mature than her age and Anirudh a young London returned barrister. He gets challenged by a britisher who mocks him saying that his country is worse than any other as far as the fate of women and lower class people are concerned. The young lad confidently accepts his challenge and sets out to return to his motherland to make it a better place. But he is unknown from the fact that there are wolves in human form residing who love inflicting all kinds of evil torments like sati , child marriage and women infanticide and many other evil practices on women and the lower class. In 21st century our blood boils when we read about all of this but it was pretty normal back then. One day their worlds collide , it was perhaps a miracle by the Almighty for a good reason and it gets proved that indeed it was the best miracle even if it didn't seem so in the past. From there , their journey has started and I feel so surreal for being a part of this journey from the start. I don't like watching regional serials as they have got no interesting plot but this show did catch my attention. The journey has been a beautiful yet a difficult one indeed. They faced rejection from the society and their own loved ones but they continued supporting the right. This show has a significant place in my heart and it will always be my favourite. I won't say the show is perfect with no flaws at all but the message and awareness the show wanted to convey has reached the audience successfully.
