Hello, the original was also about racism, all they did was update the themes to reflect modern times. Why else would a movie be set in cabrini-green!!?? Do your research! I feel like some of you are dissatisfied because the black characters were too diverse for you, sorry there weren’t more drug dealers and rappers in this movie. I get it, we live in a society where the white racial aesthetic is hierarchy. It can be difficult to look beyond this, but you’ll get there.
