Low review rant: Okay so I’ve read a lot of the bad reviews on here and…WOW! It really shows how horrible people are at paying attention. The movie leaves very little up to interpretation but these 1-star reviewers are asking questions that were clearly answered in the movie. “Was Lee psychic or clairvoyant?” The movie literally said that satan was giving her these feelings. Also, people keep bringing up stuff about longlegs being transgender. The character gives absolutely no indication of that! Long, unkempt hair and his flamboyant personality are just part of his mentally unstable persona. Okay rant over. Review: the movie was great! Really gave that indie horror movie feeling with great pacing and acting. They did well at keeping me looking for the small things in the movie that indicate more to the plot. It kinda felt like it melded together multiple hit horror movies but was still able to make itself not feel like a copycat. Overall a 9/10 and would definitely recommend you give it a watch if you get the chance!

If you’re looking for something similar to the original 4400, don’t watch this. This is the same as ‘Y the last man’. Acting is horrible, story is way too focused on politics rather than the 4400, and I just flat out hate how it was structured. This will flop just like the previously mentioned show if they don’t recast and get a new writer for season 2. I would have preferred a continuation of the original. Heck, even some of the og’s actors want to start the show back up again. I highly recommend the original if you haven’t seen it.

This show was fantastic. One of the best horror drama I have ever seen. The acting and script were near perfection. The story kept me thinking on my own time. Only minor downside I noticed was the old woman’s makeup. It looked so bad that I knew she would become young. I loved the revelation at the end of each episode. It was such a nice, slow burn that left me wanting more in the end. Really hope there is a second season that’s just as good.

Life is definitely a movie for sci-fi fans that loved the Alien series. While watching the film, I felt nostalgic of the first Alien film I watched. Even though they are very similar, Life travels an alternate path to the genre. It decided to hit closer to home with Mars as its choice of alien origin. This created many possibilities and new problems that quickly, yet gracefully, out of control. It’s a film that makes you think “what if?” Although, it was often “what if these scientists actually followed quarantine protocol?” Despite that, it told a good story of what could happen in that situation and showed us that man’s greatest weakness is ourselves...as long as you don’t count Calvin. No matter what others say, Life was a great, intriguing watch that had me on the edge of my seat. Plus, that ending left a opening for a sequel to look forward to.
