Been a fan for …. Three decades now. Teleharmonic alone is worth the price of admission. The album as a whole is easily my favorite release from the Radiohead universe since In Rainbows. Very beautifully crafted and arranged.

Spectacular. Easily the best record of the 2020’s. Frenetically inventive. Impressive musicianship. Arrangements that are out of this world, all coming from a few 21 year olds. There is no one living who holds a candle to black midi’s creativity. Frank Zappa? King Crimson? Primus? Mr Bungle’s “California” era? George Harrison’s “All Things Must Pass?” More obscure contemporary math rock punk type stuff like The Paper Chase’s cinematic and magnificent “Now You Are One Of Us,” yeah let’s blend that all up!!!!
Of course. You’ll hear influences. But black midi is truly one of those bands that is truly singularly unique. To go from “welcome to hell” to “still,” shows a maturity and range of songwriting that is frankly intimidating.
Check it out, and strap in.
Cause these guys are WILD.

One of the best films I’ve ever seen. If you’ve ever struggled socially, with medications, isolation, if you’re tired of the era casual cruelty we live in, this movie was made for you. It’s one of the saddest, most tragic, and amazing movies ever.
Forget about Batman, or any preconceived notions you have. Just go see it.

I love movies. Especially well made, well paced, well acted movies. Saw this the day it came out, again two weeks after that, and thought about it for weeks afterwards. I know a lot of people don’t like it. Not sure why. But I found it to provoke some pretty serious introspection, despite it simultaneously being a lot of fun. For me, this is a 10/10.

I know its hard to believe, but this is probably the best tv show I’ve seen. It takes a few episodes to gain momentum, but by mid season two it’s truly at a never slowing, breakneck pace. Hannibal, (and True Detective season one) show that you can make a masterful, unique television series. Killer cast. Brilliant story. Better than most Hollywood movies.
