One of the best sci fi shows of all time. The storyline is so intricate and geniusly written. The characters are developed so carefully and you get drawn in this infinite loop with them. And you get to see all of human aspects in them, all human instincts ,all in the shades of grey, making them so real. The writers and the directors deserve all praise for making such an outlandishly insane idea work, with the huge cast and numerous timelines, it could have easily been a mess but somehow they found the right balance and made something so beautifully woven together. Definitely recommend.

Intriguing is the word. It isn't easy to write about this film without spoilers so all I'd say here is that it is the kind of film that would invoke diverse reactions in anybody and reactions that would change as you think about it again and again. But that's what makes it compelling and something so unique. The story can be interpreted in different ways coz it's a study of "what if". A journey through the mind, body, reality and imagination of a lonely gay man, the freedom he wanted and his personal struggle with the freedom that his loneliness gave him.

2.5 stars. Yeah, It's not a conventional monster movie and it was trying to tackle some heavy subjects of alcoholism and toxic relationships but unfortunately it didn't pay off in the end. It was definitely going for a more metaphorical approach but it fails to put enough emotional weight in the storyline to make the viewer empathize or be compelled by the main issue it was dealing with. The performances were ok-ish but the storyline falls flat on too many occasions.

2 and a half stars tbh. It's neither a masterpiece nor a bag of garbage. It shines in the performance department (especially by the protagonist) and its interesting cinematography but lacks at providing a punch with the message it was trying to convey and left a lot of loose ends and improperly used characters. Our protagonist in his chaotic mind and search for a transformation of his identity and nationality goes through a turmoil that is present in the entirety of this film. But interactions and his intentions don't add much to the story overall and makes it harder for the viewers to sympathize with the story. It's ok for a one time watch but overall it's a missed opportunity for the humongous potential it had at the beginning of the story.

One of the greatest anime movies ever made. A heartbreaker, a tearjerker and a poignant telling of a story based of real life events. It will make you grieve, it will make you think , it will make you rethink... about mankind, about the devil that humans created- War and the tragedy it brings. In all it's sadness and misery, it still lights a hope in the heart of its viewers by teaching them lessons about humanity.

A very realistic and accurate reflection of how women's freedom and sexuality is repressed in various sections of our society. Shown through the lives of 4 women and their struggle to fulfill their desires in a world which constantly tries to bind them in its unforgiving patriarchal norms. These restrictions, at times force these women to take desperate measures to have a moment of fulfillment. What stands out the most for me is the climax. It is one of the rare cases that we see in Indian cinema where the story doesn't end with fan service but a more realistic and poignant moment of solace in solidarity. I'd absolutely recommend this movie. A must watch.
