So here's a breakdown Literal American horror story opening of skits and scene cuts. Imagine actual AHS opening, that. Lady+tons of miscarriages+abusive boyfriend+sudden head injury from said boyfriend Boyfriend gets killed by suspicious figure and then lady gets attacked Add ridiculously bubbly sister she instantly admits she's adopted to, just kinda dumps it off and onto the next scene Add in multiple characters we haven't been introduced being killed by figure She sees it somehow Add ridiculous cops, like cliche ridiculous 90s C rated movie cops Add unnecessary romance between two cops who aren't even seen or heard from or part of the arch Add literally worst information gathering scene, woman simply walks up into giant asylum castle, trippin on wheelchairs from the 1800s, instantly finds info she needs, doesn't even show her leaving, cuts right back to home Add plot twist it was her all the time she has a parasitic twin in her brain Add unnecessary child rape story when it could have been anybody's baby cause that genetic issue is an anomaly that can happen in anybody and isn't part of the rape And add that she keeps calling it a devil and an abomination against god, which makes you think they're gonna drop the bomb that she was raped by the devil or a demon or something but no that's just kind of a thing they dropped in and then never referenced again Add unnecessarily lodged in explanation about why she can see what it sees, when it would have made more sense if she had like, headaches, blackouts, and missing time Add disovery of mom that was literally not important to the story or arch at all Add in character arch where she realizes the power it gives her was in her all along and she defeats it and saves her sister, because she said "he makes me strong" 1 single time, no other explanation Also add that all of these leads nowhere, this is all mentioned like 1 time then never referenced again, it is literally all unimportant to the plot. Not one thing matters, this could have been 20 minutes long. Lady gets hit in head, wakes up tumor person, commits murders of doctors, she locks it up in cliche mental prison, end of story. These aren't even all my notes, like I'm mad. I want to talk to James Wan. This may be the worst movie I've ever seen.
