Almost average. To clarify, I am a Christian myself, so I was hoping to enjoy this book, and it was okay for most of it. The Veritas Conflict is enjoyable for the first 400 pages, but then the author gives a surprise twist that disregards everything built up and leaves most of its plotlines unresolved. It went from a small college story that was somewhat logical to a crazy, almost spy thriller with no warning that makes no sense. The characters got so dumb in the end; I almost wanted to cry that this author wasted 400 pages of the plot for the last few chapters. It felt like another author wrote the last part of the book and did not pay any attention to what the book was building up. The spiritual warfare part was interesting when used but is barely mentioned, and the apologetics were shallow and could easily be googled instead of wasting your time reading this. In conclusion, The Veritas Conflict is an average book with a few minor gimmicks and an unsatisfying last half.
