bigggg let down - boring, predictable, insubstantial and downright mockable !

my favourite movie - a cinematic masterpiece !

Ambivalence. The movie is extremely 'on the surface' and its huge potential is undermined by the lack of depth allocated to numerous potentially-emotional scenes! Although the costume design, makeup and sets are beautiful - they are almost too perfect for a supposedly poor fictional family. It was hard to become attached to any of the characters and I frequently forgot many of their names due to the lack of personal focus on them. Overall, I don't regret watching this movie, it was relatively moving and aesthetically pleasing - yet I am upset with how little it was dissected as the true, feminist masterpiece it is :(

so, so underrated - not your conventional romance but instead a vintage-themed story of loss, growth and finding purpose to live in someone else.

I really thought this would be the conventional, stereotypical christmas romance movie but it really wasn't! Rich with multiculturalism, LGBTQ+ and a satisfying balance of loss and happiness - this series is the perfect cosy, feel-good blend which instils hope in its audience.

God this was so predictable / boring / annoying :(

moves quite slowly, none of the characters are likeable enough to form an attachment to, a lot of stuff doesn't make sense :(
