The reviewers giving one star reviews probably don't realize this is satire. It's pretty clear that the authors KNOW they're using horror and romance cliches, but they're doing it to play with the audience's sense of reality. You never know what is real or a hallucination. It was fun trying to puzzle out if the main character was insane and the culprit or if it was one of the other characters. The writers are clearly playing off what the genre is known for and making fun of it. But they tred a very fine line between satire and an actually decent suspense show. Anyway, I found it to be an interesting combination of horror, romance, and satire.
