So one of the slave elves decides he is sick of being used for manual labor while Santa gets all the credit and wants credit for his talents. Him and all the elves have been trapped in the North Pole for centuries, confined by a force fold cage that keeps them locked in. Don’t let the elves happy helper attitude fool you, they are prisoner slaves and the North Pole is a plantation. Santa and the Mrs say the rogue elf’s desire for credit of his work was selfish and egotistical, and as a result, the elf suddenly turns into a human .. like them! This story is only not horrendous if you want to believe slave labor is ok as long as people get their free products. But Goldie Hawn does look good.

I’m sober and in AA and very weary of shows that portray addiction and recovery. But Hightown did a pretty good job at that part. Her addiction struggle seemed real, the consequences her and other characters using had real impact, and the meetings were very much what one might find for the most part. I’m also gay and spent a lot of time using and parting in Provincetown, those scenes were quite true to form. Then it was interesting to see the fishing town which is such a real-world bizarre contrast to the party scene. The crime drama part, while as solid as a typical drug murder crime drama can be, was still pretty typical, until the end - the last twenty minutes were satisfying. The thing that bothered me most tho was both the main bad guys were people of color/black and the black cop had a side show role. At least a lesbian Latina in the lead.

This was great closure for Pinkman but i was hoping for more with the other characters and some layers to the risks which is what made Breaking Bad great. At the end it came down to a shoot out between Pinkman and minimal characters I didn’t even remember from the series. Skinny Pete and friend were always under leveraged and the scenes with them were the strongest. The scene with Walter White was a real let down. More please.
