This does nothing other than glorify indian cliches .. 2 episodes and I am done with the show I have no idea how it is raking 8.1 rating in IMDb. As I see mostly non residents have rated it good . But honestly to viewers who are non indians ..no this is not how indian community is even in usa :/ it's a sheer caricature of Indian culture making it look like it has been set back in 60s :/ . As for the girl struggling with her sophomore year..this story line is a tried and tested one . Nothing new about it . Started watching solely because it represented south Asian community and I felt finally indian community can tell their story but ended up watching a cartoonish compilation of nri life :/ . Here to hoping someone will have a better script and a better story to narrate some day and we will stop watching such tacky cliches.
