This had no right to be as good as it was. My criticisms are scarce, the raptor treatment was not fantastic in my opinion and a few lore inconsistencies hold it back from being perfect. But it actually for one has good characters, and more importantly it doesn’t waste your time. It gets into the film quickly and I think you spend like 20 mins maximum on the mainland. So so much better than I could have ever expected. Don’t know why I put up with dominion/fallen kingdom hell even world considering how good this was. Feels like a deliberate callback to the original trilogy especially the first but does so much different and does it nearly flawlessly. Some of the kill reveals too. Just brilliant. And the mutant dinos weren’t even that bad, nice that they were only in the film at the end.

I love and hate this game. The jumpscare's the scariness and the overall atmosphere are terrible and not to mention it released as one of the buggiest games to have came out in recent times, however the character designs are well done and the graphics do look good. Another problem is the mall as its so bright and so colourful that it takes away any creep factor that could have been there. Unfortunately instead of being original and utilising vanny, willam afton comes back again with a pretty bad design and making fnaf 6 feel like a joke. The final battle with afton is underwhelming as he gets set on fire again. The voice acting for the most part is good if not amazing with stars like kellen goff coming back to the series. Overall even though i am underwhelmed with this release I don't hate it and i think its better then a few of the older games but it does fail in comparison with the more creepy games. 2.5 stars or 5 out of ten
