I hoped this would be a good movie. But it quickly turned into "Radioactive - The Apology Tour," covering everything from patriarchy and sexism, to nationalism and nuclear war. (Of course, all these bad things were caused by MEN. Pierre Curie was reduced to a puppydog-type fellow, in order to be included in the story.)
I'm pretty sure Madam Curie did not have nightmares about victims of Chernobyl or the atom bomb, events that occured decades in the future.
This dark, depressing film portrayed local Parisians as petty, irrational "nationalists," holding Antifa-style demonstrations in front of Madame Curie's home.
What a miserable "politically correct" re-write of history.
Radioactive didn't honor Marie Curie. It barely showed her achievements at all, playing more like a showcase for social justice warriors. Don't waste your time.
