I have been meaning to watch this movie for some time now, but I somehow forgot about it until it was mentioned in my MBA class recently. So here I am watching this move after almost 7 years since its first release.
Overall, it is a good movie with interesting lessons for people in business and those planning to be entrepreneurs. The movie showcases the hard reality of consumerism, business ethics, manipulation, and results of rigidity to change in the current modern world. In the first half of the film, I rooted for Ray Kroc and Mc Donald brothers, but I didn't expect myself to be in turmoil in the second half as to whether I should feel happy for Ray's success or feel let down like Mc Donald brothers.
Nonetheless, in the end, I was happy that brothers achieved their dreaming of earning USD$1 million as they got around USD$2.7 million (although its much lesser compared to Mc Donalds' current revenue in billions). But I was more saddened to learn, from the end credits, that they never got the royalty payments for their idea and system.
So, the moral - be more open to change as it is evidently inevitable. Sometimes, you don't agree or want unethical and selfish people to win or succeed, but they still do because they are more driven than the rest!
