Every Christmas I binge this specific show so I can enjoy it's beauty, symbolism, tremendous acting, production, and hidden, yet extremely inspiring, poetic messages that are descretely, yet effectively put across by the script and actors who express it.

Pure genius. So gothic and mysterious. There is a bleak and dreadful vibe put out all throughout the movie, mostly due to mysteriousness and suspense caused by the unsettling, barbaric history of the sanatorium. Superb acting and story line. Very deep, impactful theme, as well. It is now one of my most favorite horror movies.
