Loved it. Deeply meaningful. Well written, directed, acted and produced.

I really liked this movie. I thought Maggie Gyllenhaal did a great job of weaving together a masterful tapestry of story. The underlying tension, Olivia Colman's fabulous internalisation/unease, the children's acting (wow!), brought the whole piece together. It's not an 'easy' movie to watch but a deep psychological dive into the complex and challenging world of motherhood. Kudos to the author Elena Ferrante.

So disappointed. It's a miss for me. Targeted for a very narrow audience, I found it indulgent, presumptuous, and it missed the mark. Subtitles came up for the French dialogue but so briefly that even I, as a speed reader, couldn't keep up. The script, whilst segmented deliberately was 'all over the shop'. But I'll still love W A for his other movies.

One of the best movies ever. A masterpiece! Every time I watch it I see new things and understand more symbolism/meaning. Bravo Wes!

A poor attempt at trying to be woke and funny at the same time. My friend left the movie at the halfway mark. I persisted but was very disappointed. Not funny and actually a waste of my time.
