SPOILERS As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I would like to say that I loved that Ellie is queer. That’s the only good thing I loved about the game. However, killing off the most important character without giving him a fight was terrible. Abby was not a necessary character. I did not feel any pity towards that character or her friends. Abby ruined the gameplay for me and I would always skip her scenes and play through. She was uninteresting to me. Ellie “losing her mind” was unoriginal and all over the place. After Joel died, the game was boring and I stopped watching people play. The ending was borderline stupid. Ellie chasing Abby only to let her go was just terrible writing. I’m sorry but not sorry. After seven years of loving the first game, I would like to say that this new game isn’t canon to me and it never will be.
