This movie checked AAAAALLL the boxes - even boxes I didn't know I had. I loved every single character- I loved the lack of drama and the different strong and equally important life lessons that were presented throughout the movie. The romance was so gracefully and done beautifully done showing off love's best side. The character growth was so believable. If you're looking for humor, romance and positivity, watch this movie!

I didn't really like this movie. I preferred the first one. Most of the characters became more and more annoying as the movie progressed. By the time Queen Mother died, I thought her a cold, hard, stubborn woman that I was all to glad to see move on. Shuri and the scientist were equally annoying. I was routing for the fish-people from the very beginning and wanted Wakanda to lose. Wakanda deserved the attack and was the weaker side. I disliked the overt women empowerment arc and found that abduction scene in the US so corny and flat. As a Xhosa lady, the constant mispronunciation and terrible butchering of the language was gratingly hard to sit through. Why couldn't they have made up a language instead of using one that already exists? Why not use natives if you insist on using the language? I suppose we ought to feel honoured that the paid such great homage to our language. I found myself fast-forwarding constantly and still only managed to finish the movie over two weeks. Wakanda For Never!

Few movies will remind you of what it means to love and be loved with reckless abandon... Frozen II is a heart warming journey about love, the pursuit of truth and sacrifice. When Elsa leaves her family, friends and home in search of her destiny, hers and Anna's lives are changed forever by the uncovering of the truth. At the moment of discovery, Anna is faced with the decision to either give in to the overwhelming grief, loneliness and complete darkness or to forge on for the sake of others. She sacrifices her own life to free people who are practicality strangers to her. I cried shamelessly during this movie. It is a definite must see. The Frozen writers have character development down to a science at this point.

I hate to admit it, but I'll go ahead and do it anyway. I enjoyed how mild this movie was. As a person who enjoys moderate horrors, moderate emotions and moderate levels of drama, I found it an easy and fair way to pass an hour and a half of Saturday afternoon. The acting, though lackluster for the most part, was tolerable at worst and screen-worthy at best. Word of advice: don't take these things too seriously. I'm specifically referring to the severity of the hurricane and the sort of impact it should have had; the in/accuracies of alligator behavioral patterns, the physical capabilities limitations, biology and physiology of a human being. It definitely wo tbe winning major awards, but not all entertainment needs to.
