The campaign is very good but spec ops is very difficult and challenging. I don’t recommend playing spec ops if you’re newer to call of duty but if your a call of duty veteran looking for a challenge then spec ops is for you. The multiplayer can either be enjoyable and fun or everyone could be camping and have it be frustrating and not fun. The maps on this game aren’t great but if your on any map besides Piccadilly, Azhir Cave, Euphrates Bridge, and the rest of the 10v10 ground war maps it should be fine. If your a veteran you will get lots of nostalgia from the og modern warfares. But the main problem in multiplayer is the camping. Infinity Ward the makers of the cane put in safe spaces for newer players. Sure the newer players enjoy this but veterans who run and gun and don’t camp can get pretty upset. I’m a veteran and there’s nothing worse than getting killed by a player you’re ten times better than because that new player had a good camping spot. To avoid this issue you can join them in being a camping noob or join another game with a better map. Just saying don’t play Euphrates bridge or Piccadilly ever! One match of that garbage can make you just want to quit playing the game. Just avoid those and you will be fine. I would give this game five stars if it wasn’t for the difficulty of spec ops and the camping in multiplayer. Good things about multiplayer there are some of the old modern warfare maps in the multiplayer and more should be coming soon. They also got a new create a class system. There are endless ways to customize your gun and you can level up a gun to level 70. Also there are a lot more camos you can unlock for your gun. If you enjoy a long grind for camos you will enjoy this. The campaign is my favorite part of the game. It brings back fan favorite character captain price. If your new to call of duty you have no clue who that is. However the campaign is very violent and controversial. Children get killed, innocent civilians are killed. Terroist attacks are shown, There is also a part where you interrogate a terroist leader. You then grab his family that you kidnapped and point the gun at them and threaten to kill them. You can skip this part but not all the other violent scenes. The mission hometown is very disturbing. I’m not going to explain the entire mission but you can find a video of it. If you are a parent and your kid wants the game, as long as your kid is at least 9 and knows right from wrong and isn’t mentally insane then it should be fine. The spec ops missions can be fun and intense and it does take lots of teamwork it is extremely difficult. The difficulty of spec ops can really ruin the experience. Even I’m a veteran and i find this too difficult. And if someone from Infinity Ward sees this please make a difficulty selection like normal hard and veteran. The difficulty on spec ops is like veteran difficulty but ten times harder. And there are many juggernauts that take awhile to kill and have minivans that drop you in a second so that makes it ten times harder. Also if you played spec ops from MW2 and MW3 and liked it you will be a bit disappointed because classic spec ops has 4 missions. Infinity ward really needs to add way more missions even though all missions should’ve been there by launch. I give this game three stars it could be five but because of how hard spec ops is and the camping because of bad maps in multiplayer I had to take two stars off. I hope you found this review helpful and if you are getting this game have fun and don’t camp.
