One of those rare gems you stumble upon that you could have scrolled past because there's nothing immediately familiar about the cast or title. This movie is a prime example of proper cinematic storytelling, nothing more and nothing less than it has to be. Not trying to be something that it isn't, nothing shown that doesn't propel the story forward.
This film presents you with a situation that you could genuinely imagine yourself in regardless of who you are, it connects with you on a human level if you've ever made a mistake in a split second that has ramifications on the rest of your life. Once the integral part of the story starts unfolding 15 minutes in you're gripped and invested in the characters, empathizing with their situation and questioning your own morals and choices. It's rare that you find a film that makes you FEEL impending doom.
If anyone is reading this that is considering watching the film, I encourage you to stop reading anything that can give away the plot and just watch with no expectations going in, this is a film to be experienced in real time as the characters experience the events unfold. The moment later in the film where they slowly dig up the travesty of what the main characters have done and they have to decide to either stay or expose themselves and run is probably one of the best scenes I've 'experienced' in years.
Everything about this movie is on point, the acting is incredible, the dialogue is realistic, the pacing is slow when it needs to be but also fast and frantic when the plot calls for it. It makes you question your own morality at multiple points and then leaves you with just a shot of him looking eerily directly down the barrel of the camera confronting you as if to ask "would you have done the same?"
Amazing movie, hope to see many more films from this director, obviously knows his craft and had a clear vision of what this was and made an amazing film, nothing more, nothing less. 10/10.
