Arguably the worst movie I have watched.Peter Cook and Peter O'toole would be turning in their graves every time someone watches it. Appologies

Beautiful scenery, attractive people, mediocre acting, with very predictable script and pretty ordinary production values. Had had lunch at Palm Cove restaurant used recently making the movie more enjoyable for me than it otherwise might have been.

The adaptation was excellent, expressing the dry, heat and malevolence of the town. The depiction of the river and lagoon in wet and dry times gave great counterpoint to the movies theme of reduced fortunes over time.The murder mystery complicated by the intertwined nature of peoples lives in a small beleaguered town made the story both compelling and real. Raw emotions dealing with grief and guilt mixed with desperation are the hallmarks of the movie. Loved it.

Insiders gives the most balanced view on the weird world of our self indulgent politicians. It stands out from the rest because of its lack of vested interest - a thing that most politicians and definitely other corporate media entities can not claim. At times this is viewed as being left wing but only by the right wing ideologues that are so used to the pandering that they receive from Murdoch etal.
