Let's completely forget the part where this movie looks a bad replica of so many movies. Let's also ignore the fact that this movie cannot be placed in any genre. I meant sci-fi, thriller, action, horror, what is it that this movie portrayed successfully? Nothing!
Ok, the movie is wrong on so many levels! A species of birds (flying reptiles/bats/a cross of Pterosaurs?) got burried deep underground, in a cavern a million of years ago. Not only did they survive through all the geographical alterations since then, they also evolved perfectly to live above the ground! We'll come back to that later.
So accidentally, these guys are released from those caverns and unleashed into the world above the ground. With no access to any kind of fleshy animals, they also learnt to hunt not just any mammals, but also humans!
Let's look at the things that don't make any sense here:
1. Vesps lived underground for a million years, yet sunlight doesn't bother them at all! The moment they're released, they take over the world and start tormenting people in broad daylight. Umm, weren't they surviving on mosses, small insects and other micro organisms underground so far?
2. Their sight is gone, but they are attracted to noise. Hello! What happened to their sense of smell?
3. They shriek unbearably high pitched! Imagine them doing that underground. Shouldn't the mountains have fallen over and crushed them?
4. They developed extraordinary hearing abilities, yet can't hear footsteps. There was a full blown fight scene, right under their noses, still they couldn't figure out the target because of the obvious rain and thunderstorms. LMAO!
5. Never seen the open skies, yet they have amazing flying abilities and agility.
6. Most importantly, do they not have any schedule but at all!? I mean are they nocturnal, diurnal, crepuscular, when do they sleep?
Had the director, story and script writer tried the least bit to learn anything about evolution at all, this wouldn't have been such a disaster. Even Bats make a lot more sense than the Vesps.
I don't even want to talk about the actors!
