Honestly it's a long walk to an odd ending.

Ok Olivia did a great job. But I grew up around Italian family in Detroit. I never did believe these characters were Italian. It's more than just looking the part. For one thing the older characters should still have accents. Definitely. Italian food is never mentioned or cooked. And the ending made no sense. The man's mother recovered so he's not getting married? No actual explanation! Silly.

I tried the first few minutes of Brigertons and it was not impressive at all. I'm used to a lot better from Brits for many years!! Decades! Why force a young woman into a corset, then show her wearing a dress that's loose? It was not even slightly form fitting. I guess I'm spoiled from Downton Abby and Last Tango in Halifax and so many more.

Big stars. Rude jokes which are unworthy of them.

I think it's good. I'm so surprised it's got a low rating here. Dianne Keaton and Michael Douglas... what's not to like? It's real life stuff.

Seriously. No one comes out of four years in a coma and can sit up and use their arms and upper body, let alone their legs, in the first hour. Was he trying to write a cheesy script on purpose to imitate the Shaw Brothers ? If it's an homage to that genre, they should put a warning label on it. Besides that, it's too slow. Maybe that's part of the deal too. Whatever. Plus what's up with the obviously not Japanese man playing one ? Another homage to cheese it seems.
