Amazing, complex, disturbing film that switches not just temporally, but in expectation. Left me totally engaged from beginning to end. Felt kinship with Thomas Mann "Death in Venice" rather than "The Hours". To be watched again to see hints I may have missed. Brava.

Fascinating, intelligent, well acted and well shot series I have enjoyed. The details feel genuine. Learning so much about the early formation of England. York is the traceable home of my mother's family. A joy to watch, albeit brutal. Star is terrific eye candy.
