After Harry Potter, this is my favourite.
This is a must watch movie! It's quite realistic and deeply highlights a common bullying problem schools have and how much they can affect a child. It shows how the world just can't and doesn't readily accept people who are out of the ordinary by appearance or behaviour and simply don't seem to have the capability to understand someone's feelings. One of the majorly great things about this movie is that it's kind of a disclaimer and warning to the kids who do and don't bully: for the non- bullying kids it says, "Watch out, there are people out there who will get at you, so brace yourselves", and for the bullies it says, "Hey, this is what someone like feels when they are bullied. Stop doing it". I know, when I put it this way it sound kind of contradictory, but that's the great thing about this movie, to show many emotions and send many messages at the same time. Another thing is I love how the movie shows how everyone is feeling. I have read the book, too, and it is portrayed as beautifully as it is in the movie. This factor sort of underlines what I have written before about the message to the bullies out there. The thoughts and feelings that flood through one's mind has been played out spectacularly, so a big shout out to the whole cast of Wonder! Then again... read the book and watch this amazing movie.
