Cynthia Rose

The cinematography was wonderful, but the plot and the acting were terrible. Very predictable, and who would believe that a young girl would become a chess prodigy by taking tranquilizers? What?! It was way too long and unnecessarily drawn out. The story could have been told in half the episodes with the same result, and the reactions by the Russian public in Moscow to Beth in the end was laughable. I was a young girl in the 60’s, and Americans and Russians were enemies, especially so soon after the Cuban Missile Crisis. Not believable and historically inaccurate.
