It’s a decently fun disaster movie that focuses more on the human side of things than the actual disaster. Gerard Butler is good but some of the supporting acting is not, and the script is pretty hit or miss throughout the movie. The science behind the movie is very spotty so if you’re a physicist or bothered by logical leaps then I’d avoid.
With that said, it has some really cool scenes and touches on some themes that I didn’t expect going into it. It wasn’t the greatest use of 2 hours of my life, but it wasn’t the worst either.
I’d watch it once.
