Whilst the series as a whole certainly has a 5 star rating in my opinion. This final book, in full honesty, was a disappointment to me. I feel like the build up of momentum and the development of the characters was thrown for a sort of loop. Certain developments that happened in the previous books were suddenly changed or completely removed. The amazing climax that all my faith was riding on turned out to be mediocre at best. The book had many good developments and did do a good job at resolving the series, but that’s all it was, good. From a series that, before this book, I could have said was my favorite series of all time, a simply “good” ending was a very big disappointment. The first four books led me on a very wild and emotional roller coaster full of interesting developments and uncanny thoughts, this last book slowed all of that down and mediocrely resolved the series. To conclude, whilst a fair book with many good developments and stories, it was very disappointing and left me feeling unfulfilled. Three stars is my final rating.
