Nice views of the United States landscapes. Nice story of two friends getting older and living their most true selves. Will does not ask enough probing questions about where transgender rights come into conflict with other people's rights to modesty, security, or fair and safe sport for cis women. Most Americans are pretty tolerant of others they meet casually - despite how the media portrays conservative states. The film demonstrates this fact even if msm doesn't. Harper has more demons she is fighting than just her body dysmorphia. Will clearly loves being a celebrity and the centre of attention. This is a gentle film but not one for the books regarding deep insights. Soundtrack is great!

I thought this was a great film! Glenn Close and the mother in the film both acted superbly! They acted out the lost hope and buried anger of a family raised in trauma and declining opportunity.

Generally, I find the True Detective stories too slow to unfold. Season 4 had a lot of twists and turns - too many to be considered believable or even to keep track of. Lots of characters with inner pain in this season and Foster plays this role well. This season is worth watching for an original glimpse into Inuit culture.

I really enjoyed this movie. Aniston's acting is superb, but the storyline - a woman in chronic and emotional pain obsessed by another woman's suicide in order to play with the possibility of death is very original and truthful.

I was not impressed by the film's central message of labeling all adult males as tainted. The ending was not at all realistic and does not follow the events on which the movie is based. The dilemma of poorly educated women wanting more but not having the vocabulary to explain their desire was well played out (although their lack of education was grossly exaggerated).

I found the film boring and lacking a point. Perhaps the dialogue was lacking in part to illustrate how the family members did not know each other well enough to address the younger son's problems. Everyone to me seemed ineffectual. Beautiful shots of Montana and fly fishing.

The acting and writing were superb. I just had a hard time thinking people still have such mindsets in a modern movie. The storylines are more suitable for a film in the 1950s.

The film is very long - almost 3 hours and very disjointed. The actors stretch themselves impressively by playing different roles. Ultimately, the film was a dud.

I was very impressed with Kate Winslet in this movie. She plays a character I have never seen her do before, and she is almost unrecognizable. The rest of the movie is very Chicken Soup for the Soul or Hallmark inspired. Some good dialogue, however. I support the right to assisted suicide by those who are terminally ill, but Sarandon's character still has too much good quality of life for this to be believable.

This film is actually my favourite Xmas movie. I like the storyline and the characters. The actors all do a great job. The tackiness of the middle class is a constant running gag of the film which I find hilarious. Many reviewers compare it to 'It's a Wonderful Life," but I see it as a take on Ebeneezer Scrooge in "A Christmas Carol "
