Never read the books. Now watching Season 3 and starting to get an "eh" feeling and not so excited about it. Maybe I miss the highlanders not sure but the acting is fantastic and the characters seem so real except Briana who comes across as a very flat and fake character. Also, thrilled the writer of the books is from my home state of Arizona. Having seen in person some of the set locations and my ansestors are documented in Scotland to 1760, I have a personal interest in Scotland so I will keep watching Outlander.
