Seemed to be historically accurate in terms of an event outline. The characters were to numerous resulting in poor character development. For example, unless you knew who John Ford was and what he was doing on Midway his scenes made no sense. The CGI was second rate and looked like a video game. Having seen some of the actual battle footage the air attacks looked nothing like reality. The Pearl Harbor scenes were even worse. If a film is claiming some degree of historical accuracy then it should make the effort. This film didn't. If you've seen this film then go see for yourself by finding and viewing Ford's documentary on the Midway attack. Or see it before you see this film to see what it should have looked like. Sadly, it appears movie makers can't make a film without ridiculous CGI action. Seriously, an airplane take off hits the water and then flys away. Sad
