The surrealistic impact of this indie film is at first suggestive of a two-dimensional trope which, to the intelligent viewer, can only serve to create an immediate expectation of an enervating story line; however, the auteurs of this creative work manage to get the story to pivot on a delicate and a well-crafted dramatic fulcrum, allowing the film to turn on its heels as it sweeps aside the usual signifiers and immerse the audience in a broader emotional landscape.
