As a DC and Teen Titans fan, this show did not satisfy me. When Man of Steel came out, I didn't understand why people were so angry about Superman being all mopey and sad (and also breaking the villain's neck). Now I know what they felt. The Teen Titans are not supposed to be a team of Batmen. They're supposed to be funny, much like the short-lived 2000s TV show. The show takes way too long focusing on Dick Grayson and not any other members of the team. Kory is very annoying and does not act like a hero at all. She literally cares more about being scolded by Dick rather than the fact that a WHOLE FAMILY JUST GOT THEIR HEADS BLOWN UP. Rachel is boring, and she is also really useless in a fight. I'm okay with that at the starts of a series, but she gets little to no character development, as does most of the characters with her. The highlight character is Gar, as he is the only comic relief we get other than Robin banter. He also gets an actual arc, and his is much better than Dick's. The best parts are the non-Titans characters (Hank and Dawn, Jason Todd, Doom Patrol). Most of the feel like actual people and make us want to see more of them. There is a weird blue tint to EVERY. SINGLE. FRAME. The editing is horrendous, as characters will say something, then say the same exact thing two seconds later. Since everything looks the same, it makes no difference if somebody just moved across the country. The good parts are the action scenes with Dick, as they are brutal and character even comment on his brutality. The reason he gives to support why he like to stab guys in the area that no man wishes to be stabbed in are that Batman, the guy who likes to show restraint, is making Dick so brutal. No. Most o the acting is pretty sub-par, and any time they use CGI it looks SO fake. Overall, I may be too harsh, as I am a comics fan, but it is a sub-par TV show, and I don't get why I see people saying that it is "far from the competition. Seriously? Have none of you seen Daredevil, Jessica Jones, The Punisher, Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, or Legends of Tomorrow? (If not, watch them, they're pretty good, but the CW shows get cringy sometimes) I am not a DC hater, I actually prefer DC, but when I see characters I love given the obligatory "Dark Knight" treatment, it usually falls flat. I hope season two goes a little lighter, as I would love to love this series.
