The show is missing the magic of the movie. Bad script and just bad tone. It was a waste of time and energy. Disney you ruined it if that was your goal you succeeded.

For a Star Trek show there is no exploration it is not a true Star Trek show as it doesn’t follow any thing of the past and they’ve gotten rid of all of the federations enemies so they can discover new ones which I don’t find appealing they don’t follow any particular timeline or storyline not a very good show for Star Trek.
