One of the greatest films ever, with Alec Guinness playing around 8 different characters he is a joy to watch. Fantastic to be able to hear dialect without the senseless burden of political correctness. And especially good to see all white cast.

Very rarely do we ever get to actually see what became of the poor German people after the War, and it seems, the world ignores their existence . I find this to be a horrible way to look at young German men and women who harmed no one whatsoever. What became of these people?, I dread to think about what would have become of all the lovely young women after the war, if this film shows their plight, then I wish it every success.
