Loved the first season of the Witcher, it was hugely entertaining. That said, it is the second season that made me really appreciate the thought that went into its' creation.
At the core of the Witcher story in this season there is a family, not blood relatives, but a family of choice: Ciri, Geralt and Yennefer. People who do their best to withstand challenges and not give into the increasing fear and desperation that surrounds them. I appreciate the hopeful message that the ending of this season provides.
The main antagonist of this season is a great addition to the Witcher world: Voleth Meir aka Baba Yaga. Real piece of work. A universal tale that can be found across the world, warning us of just how dark the dark side of the human nature can get. This show succeeds in showing the viewer how hate powers up the evil, and how standing together and holding on to your values is the way to fight it.
It was a pleasure to watch this season. I for one am looking to season 3 very much. Congratulations to the whole team of creators on a truly great piece of work.
