Different genre tried by Mani Sir. Though good, it lacked emotional punch. Gangster movies must be dark shade to set the right tone, but this one is full colored with pleasant dusk lighting setup, it looked very calm and serene. All cast were good, but felt Aravind Swamy role could be done by someone else. I'm more convinced to see Araving Swamy as a big mind and cunning fellow in "Thani Oruvan" but not a "on the ground" rowdy in CCV, his charisma doesn't fit the role. Overall good watch and a different treat from Mani Sir.

It gave me immense pride after watching this film. Missed it back then but always wanted to watch it and believe me it is damn good. I don't easily get impressed with a movie but this one is beyond words. Screenplay, editing, cinematography, bgm and above all overall direction is splendid! Must watch and don't miss this gem of a movie!
