I watched one episode and was not into this show at first. It's slow moving at first and seems just like another silly adult cartoon. But I decided to give it another chance and ended up watching almost the entire season in one sitting. I can totally relate to Bertie's character and feel like this show does a great job highlighting issues that women deal with. It's refreshing to see a show created by and starring women handle these issues, and still be funny. I also really appreciate that Tuca's character is sober, but that's not the focus of her character at all- it's just another piece of who she is, and it more gives context for how she reacts in certain situations, than making her sobriety/risk of relapse the focal point. I love the art style of this show and the character development is fantastic.
