I don’t know why this movie has so many negative reviews. I’m an avid fan of horror and the amount of bad horror movies out there greatly outnumber the good ones, so I usually don’t get my hopes up. But this movie was not only terrifying, but I found myself greatly invested in the characters by the end of this flick, particularly Eli. I loved the concept, along with the thorough blend of sci fi and horror. This movie at times was genuinely scary, particularly towards the middle of it. By the ending, the fear factor kind of lets up, but is replaced with a sufficient amount of action and just overall awesomeness. There’s a good handful of twists and turns that are sure to keep you engaged, and the acting is very impressive. The only real negative aspects that come to mind are some inconsistencies throughout the movie. Again, the film grows significantly less terrifying towards the end, which I personally was not a fan of, but it didn’t impact how much I enjoyed this film. I would recommend this movie to any horror fan looking for an engaging and unique film. My overall score would have to be a 7.5/10
