Watched both series 1 and 2 again. It was just as fresh, innovative, excellent script and generally all round brilliant. as it was when I veiwed first time around.

Loved this quirky dark comedy so refreshing after the recent offerings on TV with their predictable endings.

Lacks substance of 1967 film. Actors are no match for Julie Christie, Peter Finch and Alan Bennett. Found the new adaptation limp.and boring.

Powerful stories. The eye for detail in the sets recaptures the clothes furniture everything of the time. The most important thing is respect for recording history and with excellent scripts, acting and direction and production. I am already missing the series and I still have one to watch. I watch TV and see every chat show etc has its token Black person on it but the unconscious bias sees them relegated to sitting on the margins of the discussions taking place. Small Axe puts Black people and their stories right in the centre of focus. Power and respect to Steve McQueen.

Absolute game changer Michaela Coel is a genius. This is the show of the year.
